Added Balance and Confidence "My personal lifestyle has constantly changed over the years as my body reacts to aging and to mysterious gradual loss of equilibrium. I have many of the classic symptoms of Spino-cerebellar degeneration (ATAXIA). Long before we had a name for it, this condition began to dictate what I could and could not do. Walking itself became so taxing that I was ready to place it on my ever growing list of endangered activities. Then I learned about Exerstriders. These poles provide enough balance and stability for me to return to regular recreational walking. My wife and daughter (who told us about Exerstriders) have a pair of poles of their own, and we walk 45 minutes four or five mornings each week. Exerstriders are not so rare in our neighborhood now. Recently we talked to a sweet little old lady who was strutting her stuff with Exerstriders. She informed us, ˜I am eighty years old and recovering from heart surgery. I find Exerstriders are helpful in my rehabilitation and fitness program. Another man we saw using them testified about how much weight he had lost and how great he felt. " "I am writing to sing the praises of ˜Exerstriders.' As a person with some medical problems, I was unable to walk more than a few blocks until I got these poles. Exerstriders have made the difference between my being able to walk 3 blocks and 3 miles several times a week. I was so impressed with the ease of walking and aerobic workout I can get using these poles that I have recommended them to 8 people (who have purchased them)." "I am 85 and enjoy Exerstriders for walking assurance”like 4 feet!" "My sister and I read about Exerstriders and thought they'd be great for our mom, who is 73 years old, has bunions & vertigo & is a bit wobbly/off balance on her feet. I called for your brochure. After reading it, I was sold! Not only for my 73 year old mom, but for me”a 45 year old who wanted to add a little more workout to my walking routine; and for my 43 yr. old sister, who is an athlete who loves to run/jog, but hasn't been able to because of stress injuries. So I bought 3 pairs & we all fell in love with them. My mom walks & hikes regularly with hers. She walks with so much more self-assuredness & ease of balance. I walk with mine almost every other day (on the days I don't swim) & notice a total body workout walking didn't give me. I talked to my sister today who said she loves hers, too, & is back to feeling like an athlete without the stress & walks every lunch hour five days a week. I quote her when she says: ˜Exerstriders saved my life!' Thanks so much for adding to the health and longevity of my family and me. It's a terrific product." "I am 75 and I do enjoy walking, but your poles make it even more enjoyable. One just glides along." "This is a fan letter for Exerstriders. I bought mine in 1990. I wondered if little old ladies (I was 64 then) should try to walk with poles; you assured me that it was OK and I have been addicted to my poles and really think they have kept my back strength and my weight to a lean 100 lbs.. I won all the walking events in the Northern Virginia Senior Olympics and since we moved to Chicago, I won gold medals in the 70-79 yr. old females. I was Exerstriding through Lincoln Park Zoo the other day and a lady came up and said she had just come back from Europe and ˜every- body' was walking with them there. Thanks, thanks again for your innovative idea. I truly hope they will save me from osteoporosis." "My father was considering forgoing a Mediterranean vacation since his balance had been destroyed my medications following heart surgery. Exerstriders enabled him to ˜lead the pack' up the narrow cobblestone street of St. Paul de Venice. The second pair of striders I sent to his buddy (also going on the trip) kept his knees from aching. Exerstriders helped them save body and save face (dad didn't want to use a walker). They were thrilled to return home stronger."
